Facebook to charge $2.99 dollars monthly fee starting November

It seems facebook will no longer be a free service. Facebook CEO Mark Zukerberg  has announced at a press conference in Menlo Park, Carlifornia that the company is unable to keep up with the costs of Facebook and a monthly fee for users is inevitable.

Zukerberg has explained that Facebook is growing with  hundreds and  thousands of members signing up each day and the advertisement system Facebook currently uses is not enough to cover all the cost the social media giants needs to keep the site running. He also continued that if Facebook continue to  remain  free service, there is the possibility of  it having to shut down because of lack of funding.

After thinking long and hard about this decision, at the end of the day, we were forced to add this monthly fee. If we don't do something about our rising cost, Facebook could cease to exist in the near future." - said Mark Zukerberg.

Facebook currently has about 1.317 billion users and if just 75% of those users starts paying the $2.99 monthly the yearly profit would be about 3 billion.  Astounding.

Reportedly Paul Horner, Facebook spokesperson said, there could be a way to waive the monthly fees for users who do not have the money to pay.  He said that even though Facebook will begin  implementing the new user fee starting November 1st, they don't want to loose their members just because they cant afford to pay the monthly subscription fee.  He said users should update their status with the following statement- I AM POOR FACEBOOK PLEASE WAIVE MY MONTHLY FEE with the FacebookmonthlyFee hashtag included.

When Do Babies Start Smiling?

mother kissing baby

By Tamekia Reece

Your baby's smile, particularly the first, is one of the most rewarding moments of parenthood. But just when do babies smile? Learn about when your baby will start smiling and what it means for his social and emotional development.

Believe it or not, your baby was probably smiling long before she was born. Babies can smile very early in life, even in utero, says Mark Gettleman, M.D., a pediatrician and owner of Dr. Goofy Gettwell Pediatrics in Scottsdale, Arizona. These first smiles aren't intentional or in response to anything. They're reflex smiles, similar to the jerky arm and leg movements your baby's body experiences as it goes through the equipment-testing process, Dr. Gettleman says. Soon enough, though, your little cutie will flash her first "real" smile, on purpose. And you, in turn, will have a silly grin plastered on your face as you beam back.

Type of Development: Social, Visual, Emotional

Your baby's first real smile says a lot about his development. It's a sign his vision has improved and he is able to recognize your face. His brain and nervous system have matured enough to eliminate reflex smiles, and he's now aware that smiling is a way for him to connect with others. Your little one is also beginning to realize his feelings matter and have a direct effect on the people around him. He'll smile to express pleasure, excitement, contentment, and happiness. Consider it his way of saying, "Hey, Mom, you're doing a good job!" or "This breast milk rocks! Please give me more."

When to Expect Smiling to Begin

Your baby's reflex smile will disappear by time she's 2 months old, and her first real one will make an appearance somewhere between one and a half to 3 months (or 6 and 12 weeks) of life. You can tell the difference between a reflex and real smile by the timing and duration. Generally, reflex smiles tend to be shorter and occur randomly, when the baby is sleeping or tired. Real smiles, on the other hand, occur in response to something, like seeing her mama's face or hearing a sibling's high-pitched voice, and they are consistent, Dr. Gettleman explains. When it's the real deal, you will see the emotion expressed in your baby's eyes.
If you're still waiting to see your baby's lips curl, there are some things you can do that may encourage her. Talk to her often (make sure you give her time to "respond"), make eye contact frequently, and smile at her throughout the day. Get silly, too. Making funny faces or noises, imitating animal sounds and behaviors, blowing raspberries on your baby's belly, or playing a game of peek-a-boo may push her smiley button on. Just don't overdo it. "Babies are developing the ability to regulate their emotions and may look away if they are getting too much stimulation," says child psychologist David Elkind, Ph.D., author of Parenting on the Go: Birth to Six, A to Z. Give your kiddo a little breather and try again later.

What Smiling Milestones Parents Should Expect

Once your baby does grin, he'll do it again and again. Why shouldn't he? When he graces you with a smile, your eyes brighten, you ooh and ahh, and you reciprocate with a beaming smile of your own. He digs that! At first, your little guy's happy face will be in response to a mix of vocal and visual stimulation, Dr. Elkind says. Therefore, he may light up from watching you sing a favorite lullaby or talk him through a particularly yucky diaper change. Later, when his vision improves, simply seeing the face of his two favorite people (you and your partner!) will be enough to make him crack a smile. You'll be the recipient of most of your baby's smiles, but he'll also exchange grins with others (that is, until stranger anxiety kicks in at around 6 months). As your baby gets more smiling practice and enjoyment from seeing people's reactions, he'll start adding sound effects, Dr. Gettleman says. "It will start with cooing at first, and then lead to small giggles and waves of giggling," he says. By 5 months, your babe may surprise you with full-out belly laughs and squeals of excitement.

Red Flags to Watch Out For

Though you're likely anxious to see your little darling's smile, a lack of early grins doesn't necessarily mean she's unhappy or that something is wrong. Babies will hit this milestone at different times, and some may need a few extra weeks. But if your baby isn't smiling by 3 months, mention it to your pediatrician.

Royal Baby News: Kate Middleton Is Pregnant!

Prince William and Kate Middleton
Stop the world: Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting again! The pregnancy—probably the second-most anticipated ever (after her first, of course)—was confirmed this morning by an official palace announcement.

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.
The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.
As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.
Poor Kate! The Duchess’ awful morning sickness with Prince George was well-documented, and it’s a huge bummer for her that it’s back again. (Pregnancy symptoms can be different with second pregnancies, after all.)
No word on when Prince George will officially become a big brother, but according to People.com, Kate is “believed to be fewer than three months pregnant.”
We hope Kate feels better soon, and are so excited that Prince George is going to be a big brother! Congrats to the Royal family!

Rev. Opambour Lays Down the Law - All Ailments are Welcome Except "EBOLA"

Rev. Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom is not like your typical pastor, he has a slot on prime time tv in Ghana, and he often take time to make some pretty ridiculous claims.  This talent of his keeps him not particularly far from controversy at all times.

He hit the airwaves somewhere last month after claiming Ebola originates from canibalism and not bush meat as had been scientifically proven for decades, thus encouraging his congregation to patronize bush meat all they can, the enigmatic preacher has made another rousing declaration, one that is as certain to capture the public,s imagination as his last pronouncement  did, according to starrfimonline he told his congregation that whilst any and all ailments are welcome in his church, Ebola is where he draws the line.

He said wherever you are in Ghana come for your healing and deliverance. Whatever burden you have been laden with come here God will deliver you through me.  But if you have Ebola dont come here because we are not ready for you.

Thankfully Ebola is not in Ghana yet so all this is hypothetical.  We might never have to deal with Ebola which is sweeping through other parts of West Africa a pace which should scare everyone.

So What Do Men Really Think About Women

They say women are hard to understand. Scores of books have been written a la ‘Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus’ just to understand this enigma called: Woman. Women have also done their own research and have twisted card calculations and Linda Goodman’s astrological predictions to gauge what exactly is going on in the mind of the opposite sex. Let’s make it a little easier for the fairer sex and dole out some of the things men think about women, but most of the time, won’t admit to it.

1. Women love a bargain. The question of “need” is irrelevant, so don’t bother pointing it out. Anything on sale is fair game.

2. Women never have anything to wear. Don’t question the racks of clothes in the closet; you “just don’t understand”.

3. Women need to cry. And they won’t do it alone unless they know you can hear them.

4. Women will always ask questions that have no right answer, in an effort to trap you into feeling guilty.

5. Women love to talk. Silence intimidates them and they feel a need to fill it, even if they have nothing to say.

6. Women hate bugs. Even the strong-willed ones need a man around when there’s a spider or a wasp involved.

7. Women can’t keep secrets. They eat away at them from the inside. And they don’t view it as being untrustworthy, providing they only tell two or three people.

8. If a man goes on a seven-day trip, he’ll pack five days worth of clothes and will wear some things twice; if a woman goes on a seven-day trip she’ll pack 21 outfits because she doesn’t know what she’ll feel like wearing each day.

9. Women brush their hair before bed. What is the need when all you are going to do, is get some sleep????

10. Women are never wrong. Apologizing is the man’s responsibility, “It’s there in the Bible”.

11. The average number of items in a typical woman’s bathroom is 437. A man would not be able to identify most of these items.

12. Women love cats. Men say they love cats, but when women aren’t looking, men kick cats.

13. Women love to talk on the phone. A woman can visit her girlfriend for two weeks, and upon returning home, she will call the same friend and they will talk for three hours.

14. A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the garbage, answer the phone, read a book, or get the mail.

15. Women do NOT want an honest answer to the question, ‘How do I look?’

16. Women cannot use a map without turning the map to correspond to the direction that they are heading.

17. It is okay for women to kiss each other and not be gay.
